Ambarin Sawja

Associate Attorney

Ambarin Sawja is an associate in the firm’s Real Estate and Corporate Transactions practice, where she provides comprehensive legal counsel to real estate developers, private investors, and closely held businesses. Her practice spans the full lifecycle of a real estate asset, from initial entity formation, commercial acquisitions, joint venture structuring and zoning approvals to
securities-related documentation, complex dispositions and landlord-tenant disputes. Ms. Sawja also regularly counsels clients on title and survey review, due diligence, and closing coordination for complex real estate transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sawja practiced complex commercial litigation at one of Pakistan’s premier law firms. She represented domestic and international clients in high-stakes business disputes before trial and appellate courts, as well as arbitration tribunals. This litigation background provides a distinct strategic advantage in her transactional work. By understanding how deals fail in the courtroom, she is uniquely equipped to identify legal risks early, draft more resilient contracts, and deliver pragmatic, business-focused advice that anticipates and mitigates future conflict.

Education

Ms. Sawja earned her LL.B. with honors from the University of London and her LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she graduated with honors and was named to the Dean’s List.
